Who is responsible for the content?

IPTV Society publishes this website. Articles are attributed to IPTV Society Editorial, the publication, rather than to an independently verified personal expert.

Earlier articles used fictional editorial bylines and illustrative author portraits. Those profiles were not evidence of real people, qualifications, locations, or testing experience. We have removed the profiles, personal social links, and unsupported expertise claims. Historical byline identifiers remain in the source files for continuity.

What supports a guide or comparison?

A setup guide describes a workflow. A comparison explains options. Neither alone establishes that we physically tested a specific app or device. Treat an article as a documented hands-on test only when it names the device, app version, test date, method, and observed results.

Where sources are available, we link them in the article or in its Sources section. Official developer documentation, app-store listings, device documentation, and broadcaster information should support claims about availability and features. Sources must support the specific claim; a link to a homepage is not proof of every statement in a guide.

The existing archive has not undergone a complete claim-by-claim verification. Pricing, supported platforms, menu labels, performance comparisons, ISP behaviour, and country-specific rules may need further checking. We do not label the archive as independently tested or universally verified.

Images and assisted production

Illustrative imagery is not evidence of a real product test. The living-room, television comparison, and home-network illustrations are AI-generated. Article captions identify these images. Editorial images show a viewing context rather than an exact app interface; unrelated legacy stock images and inaccurate image descriptions have been replaced. AI-assisted drafting or image generation does not replace checking sources and correcting errors.

Publication, drafts, and changes

Published and updated dates have separate meanings. A design change does not reset the publication date or imply a fresh product test. An updated date should reflect a substantive change to the article.

Drafts and future-dated posts are excluded from public article pages, listings, related articles, and the sitemap. New content should remain a draft until its topic, sources, attribution, images, and links have been checked. Substantially overlapping guides should be consolidated with an appropriate redirect, rather than repeatedly published under new titles.

Independence and scope

We don't sell IPTV subscriptions or supply channel playlists. A player is an application, and its availability does not establish that a particular stream is licensed. Use content you are entitled to access and check the relevant service's terms. Any commercial relationship affecting an article should be disclosed on that article.

Corrections and accountability

A material correction should identify the affected statement, the supporting source or reproducible evidence, and what changed. A correction should retain the original publication date and receive an updated date when it materially affects the guide.

Unsupported claims of personal testing, expert credentials, or measured performance should be removed or qualified until evidence is available. Changing a byline or refreshing the design does not validate the underlying claims.
